oldest friend

In April I passed the 5-year mark of living in Nashville, meaning I've lived here longer (by choice) than any other place in my whole life.

The handful of friends I made in college that I've maintained after graduation are the "oldest" friendships I have. 

Except for this girl. Our dads worked together at Porsche in Reno and became best buds. Our moms had the kind of real friendship that only women can truly understand. One summer we got together and rented a beach house in North Carolina for a giant family vacation. She came to Sisty's wedding two years ago and every time she visits Nashville we get together to catch up. She's a gem of a girl and I'm glad I get to count her as "my oldest friend".
