i caved and bought this. it was on sale, my nordstrom card hadn't been swiped in a month or so, the fates aligned, insert far-fetched justifications here and here and here. 

it's even more glorious than i imagined.

last night, at dinner, i was quiet for a little too long. he asked me what i was thinking about. the look in his eyes was so genuine and sweet...

...then i had to admit i was mentally going through my closet assembling outfits that would look cute with my new purchase.

sorry i'm not sorry. 

1/4 of a splenda

nothing says "i miss anna pugh" like taking pictures of your coffee at the starbucks in target before your junior league meeting and then smiling when you only put in 1/4 of the splenda. come back to nashville!!!

better late than never

forgot to write about my trip to new york in august for my birthday. here's what happened.

hopped on a plane. got in a cab. met pants' boyfriend who was deathly ill with food poisoning. confirmed he was awesome within the first 5 minutes of talking to him anyway. walked to the met. tried to see the mcqueen exhibit but the line was 4 hours long. got lost (the good kind) in the rest of the museum instead. ate at shake shack. died from the deliciousness. went to central park. read this book on a bench across from a pick up softball game. people watched. eavesdropped the conversation of the two old ladies next to me. met pants at her apartment after work. went to dinner. ate dessert. 

the next day we shopped, ate, wandered, got a few drinks and then saw britney spears! (loved it).

the day after that we did some more of the same but switched out the britney part for dinner here and dessert here. side note - why is the food in new york so delicious? and why isn't there more of it in nashville?

and then i went to the airport and tried to go home but instead got on a plane to durham for an unexpected surprise visit to see sisty! and matt.

it was so great.

Where I've Been

After the lovely @frugalnashville virtually high-fived me today for FF (thanks!!), I realized I've been a little...ahem...absent over here in my corner of the interweb.

See, wedding planning took over my life in the very best way possible. I have yet to tally the hours spent on making it a perfect event or put down the words to describe how great everything turned out, so I'll leave it to these few snapshots to speak in my silence.

We met with the venue to begin planning...



And then spent some time crafting...



And crafting...



And going over seating charts...



And then creating the escort card display for said seating charts...



We put together some welcome baskets...



For the out of town guests...



Planned ahead for tired feet...



And then actually invited everyone to the party!!



Showered the bride here in Nashville...





And in Texas...





And celebrated her bachelorette party with the Nashville Roller Girls Roller Derby...





The Attitude and I teamed up to get them a wedding gift...



And before I knew it, Stephanie and Matt were married!!!
