Spontaneous.

I think the moral of this story is that I totally underestimated how much I'd love having David J living so close to me. Let's rewind.

Thursday night we went see to the Last Rodeo, Brooks and Dunn's final live show. Sooo much fun.

Friday afternoon as I was leaving work, I got a phone call from the airport. He was hopping on a plane to Dallas for the weekend and then driving his car back to Nashville. Before I knew it, a plan was hatched for me to go with him and be his driving buddy. I had less than 30 minutes to throw clothes into a bag and rush to the airport to make a 5:20 flight. A quick call to Alexis sealed the deal; she would be waiting at the airport ready to start the long weekend!

The weather was gorgeous and the company was even greater. I couldn't have made a better decision.

Monday morning we woke up bright and early to head back to the 'ville. iTunes shuffle kept us entertained as we drove the 10 hours through Texas, Arkansas and Tennessee. We documented the hours on the road but apparently lost track of the time somewhere in the middle (I blame the hot fries and Rockstar)...and in the end we made it home safe and sound, only halfway insane from the highway.

Sisty and her friends have a new game where they each give two reasons why they're "total package" material, and then two reasons why they're not. So, in keeping with the trend, I'm confident that one of my total package items would be that David J and Schmalexis are two people who make my life spontaneously spectacular.
